EALA Women's Caucus at State House

First Lady Rachael Ruto hosted women parliamentarians from the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Women's Caucus at State House, Nairobi.

She urged women legislators to create an enabling environment for young people in the East African Community to become economically productive.

Swearing-in 

A 12-member tribunal to handle four petitions seeking the removal of Justice Mohammed Noor Kullow from office was sworn in on Tuesday.

Chief Justice Martha Koome oversaw the swearing-in of the 12-member tribunal.

The 12 were appointed by President William Ruto through a Gazette Notice dated March 8, 2024.

CS Mucheru mother's memorial service

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday joined the family of former Ministry of ICT, Innovation, and Youth Affairs CS Joe Mucheru for a memorial service of his mother.

Uhuru encouraged the family to be strong, acknowledging that losing a matriarch is a profound loss.

Ruto meets Kenya Kwanza MCAs

President William Ruto chaired a consultative meeting bringing together MCAs from the Kenya Kwanza.

It was the first meeting of the MCAs with the president to take stock of the government's performance since the Kenya Kwanza administration got into office.

The Kenya Wildlife Services rescued a distressed hippopotamus in Nakuru.

The KWS rangers and the veterinary team attended to a distressed hippopotamus snared by its left front leg in Olosuswa Conservancy.

Ruto launches development projects 

President William Ruto led a delegation of leaders to Kericho County where he launched several development projects. 

Ruto laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Talai Affordable Housing Project in Kericho.

Masinde Muliro Stadium construction 

The National Celebrations Committee inspected the construction of Masinde Muliro Stadium in Bungoma.

The stadium, built in Kanduyi, is expected to host this year's Madaraka Day Celebrations.

Construction of the stadium began in 2019 with a budget of Sh650 million and upon completion, the stadium will have a seating capacity for 5,000 people.
