President William Ruto on Monday hosted Kenyan rally driver Minesh Rathod at State House ahead of the much-anticipated event to be held in Naivasha, Nakuru county this weekend.

Rathod alongside other drivers from the country have upped their preparations for this year's event.

Safari Rally is one of the most iconic events in the World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar.

It is set to feature an exciting mix of experienced drivers, rising stars, and local heroes.

Minesh Rathod will be competing in the NR4 class with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X.

The Safari Rally is an automobile rally held in Kenya.

It was first held in 1953 as a celebration of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
