State advertises 42 job vacancies in various departments

The State has announced several job vacancies across various institutions in Tuesday’s copy of My Gov.

Among the agencies is the Kenya Maritime Authority, which is seeking to recruit a highly competent, proactive and self-driven individual to fill the vacancy of the Director General.

The Authority is also looking to employ a senior licensing & seaborne trade officer, a licensing and seaborne trade officer and a senior coxswain.

Other positions include that of the director, maritime education, training and labour, the director, maritime trade and development, the assistant director, training and certification (engineering), the assistant director, research, strategy & planning and the principal administration office.

Interested applicants are requested to visit the Authority’s website www.kma.go.ke for more information about the vacancy.

Applicants are advised to indicate the position and reference number on their cover letter.

The Authority stated that each application should be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of relevant academic and professional certificates and transcripts, National Identity Card or passport, testimonials and other relevant supporting documents.

Additionally, an applicant must indicate the reference number for the position applied for and submit either as a hard copy, online or post application.

The hard copy applications should be addressed to the Director General, Kenya Maritime Authority (a recruitment box and a register marked applications for officer positions will be placed at the Bahari Towers, reception, on the ground floor).

The online applications should be emailed in PDF format (as one running document) to: [email protected].

Post applications should be sent to: Chairman Board of Directors, Kenya Maritime Authority, Bahari Towers along Mbaraki Road (next to the Little Theatre), PO Box 95076 – 80104, Mombasa.

The applications should reach the authority on or before 5 pm on May 12, 2025.

The National Government Affirmative Action is seeking to recruit 12 individuals for the positions of a director-corporate services, principal internal auditor and risk assurance, principal legal officer and principal ICT officer.

The agency is also looking to employ five programme officers and three drivers.

Successful candidates will enter into a three-year contract of terms of service, renewable depending on satisfactory performance.

The detailed job descriptions are posted on the website www.ngaaf.go.ke.

Each application should be accompanied by a CV with names of three professional referees, daytime telephone contact, a cover letter indicating the position and reference number applied for and certified certificates and testimonials.

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology is looking to employ a Chief Procurement Officer - Grade XV.

MMUST said the appointment to the position shall be on contractual terms of service.

It stated that applications should be accompanied by a detailed CV and certified copies of relevant academic and professional certificates, National Identity Card or passport, testimonials, e-mail addresses, telephone contacts and any other relevant supporting documents.

Applicants should also provide names, telephone numbers and contact addresses of three referees.

Applicants should request their referees to submit their confidential reports to the undersigned to be received on or before May 12, 2025, by 5 pm.

MMUST said one copy of the application should be sent via registered mail or courier, marked with the advert reference number on the envelope, to the undersigned.

Applicants with foreign-earned qualifications should have their certificates certified by the Commission for University Education (CUE).

The Kenya Institute of Primate Research (KIPRE) is looking to recruit suitable and qualified Kenyan citizens to fill various posts. KIPRE work station is located in Oloolua forest in Karen.

The 20 officers needed will fill the vacancies of the director of corporate services, the director, internal audit & risk assurance, deputy director, human resource management and administration, the deputy director finance and accounts, principal legal officer and principal laboratory technician.

Other positions include those of five laboratory technicians, three artisans either in carpentry and joinery or turning and fitting or plumbing or welding and fabricating and electrical, three animal health technicians and three health assistants.
