

The teenager was grazing goats with his seven-year-old brother when unknown people confronted them and shot Mohamed in the right thigh
with an arrow.
He struggled and ran away, but the attackers caught up with
him and inflicted a deep cut on the neck at the back and on the right palm.
The brother ran away to Inyali and reported to his
parents.
The parents visited the scene and collected the goats together
with the body to the Inyali police post.
Officers from Mutha police station, together with DCI from Mutomo, visited the scene.
They processed the scene and found an arrow and a machete at the site of the attack.
“The body was buried immediately according to Islamic custom
after heavy resistance to move it to any morgue for post-mortem,” DCI said.
In a separate incident in Kakamega, police have launched an investigation into
the murder of a known motorcycle rider whose lifeless body was
discovered in a maize farm.
The incident was
reported by a motorcycle rider of Matunda Junction who reported that there was
a dead body at Munyonzo area within Mabusi.
Police officers and the DCI team from Likuyani rushed to the
scene at a maize farm and found a lifeless body within the Matunda Corner stage.
“The body had a deep cut above the left eye and on the neck, his
red motorcycle was missing, but his helmet and mobile phone were found at
the scene,” DCI said.
The scene was documented, and the body was taken to Kitale County Referral Mortuary, awaiting autopsy.
Elsewhere in Bungoma, a 38-year-old male was subjected
to mob justice by members of the public within Bisunu.
Police officers from Sirisia police station and DCI Bungoma
West rushed to the scene and found the body lying in a pool of blood with
multiple deep cut injuries on the head, both hands, and legs.
“The motive is that the deceased is suspected to have
murdered his mother as reported in Sirisia police station,” DCI stated.
The scene was processed, and the body was moved to the Bungoma
County Referral Hospital mortuary, awaiting autopsy.
The DCI Bungoma termed the case a Person Under Investigation (PUI) as no arrest nor any recovery was made.
