Before attending the wedding, the President had launched the construction of the 376-unit Masalani Affordable Housing Project in Ijara.

He noted that the initiative would bolster local economies by ensuring that elements of the work—such as the fabrication of steel doors and windows—are undertaken by Jua Kali artisans from the community.

Ruto also commissioned the newly built Yusuf Haji Girls Secondary School in Masalani, where he handed over a new school bus and laid the foundation stone for the institution’s second phase of development.

“Our goal is to equip our people, our greatest resource, with the highest quality skills to build the human capital necessary to move Kenya towards first-world status,” the President said.

He added that the Kenya Kwanza administration is committed to ensuring that every child, in every part of the country, has access to quality education that empowers them to thrive.
