Kenya Re, one of Africa’s leading reinsurance firms, has announced a fresh round of recruitment aimed at attracting highly qualified professionals to fill key leadership and technical positions within the corporation and its regional subsidiaries.
As a Government-owned entity listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Kenya Re continues to play a critical role in strengthening the insurance and reinsurance industry across Africa.
In the latest recruitment notice, Kenya Re has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill 12 vacant positions based in Nairobi and several strategic regional offices.
The vacancies provide opportunities for experienced professionals seeking to advance their careers in insurance, finance, legal services, auditing, project management, and corporate leadership.
Among the most senior openings are the positions of General Manager – Reinsurance Business, General Manager – Legal Services, and General Manager – Corporate Services, all based in Nairobi.
These executive roles are offered on three-year renewable contracts and are expected to provide strategic leadership within the corporation.
The recruitment also extends beyond Kenya’s borders.
Kenya Re is seeking a Chief Executive Officer/Principal Officer for its Tanzania operations based in Dar es Salaam.
Additionally, a Chief Financial Officer position is available in Tanzania, while another Chief Financial Officer vacancy has been announced for the corporation’s Zambia office in Lusaka.
The corporation is further looking to strengthen its technical and operational departments through the recruitment of an Assistant Manager for Internal Audit, a Senior Underwriter for Life Business in Kenya, and a Senior Underwriter specialising in International Business Facultative and Treaty operations.
Other opportunities include Senior Underwriter – West Africa-based in Côte d'Ivoire, Senior Project Officer, and Executive Analyst positions.
Some of the positions will be offered on fixed-term contracts, while others are permanent and pensionable, in line with Kenya Re’s Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
