EALA MP Falhada Iman on Wednesday expressed deep regret over the incident where she fought with nominated MP Ummul Kheir Harun at the Parliament buildings.
Iman acknowledged that her actions were beneath the dignity of the institution she serves.
In a statement, Iman has offered an apology to her colleagues, the public, and those who witnessed the confrontation.
She stated that the altercation stemmed from prolonged provocation.
Iman explained that despite initially exercising restraint, the situation escalated beyond her control, leading to a breach of decorum.
