Israeli military has confirmed that Iran has launched missiles a
short while ago in retaliation to the ground invasion of Lebanon early Tuesday.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that sirens
have sounded all across Israel.
IDF urged Israelis to remain alert and follow the home front
command's instructions.
"Upon hearing a siren, you must enter a
protected space and remain there until further notice", the statement
reads.
Israeli troops invaded Lebanon Tuesday
morning in what the IDF called a "limited, localised and
targeted" ground operation against Hezbollah.
A military spokesman said people in
around 25 Lebanese villages were evacuated.
The Lebanese prime minister said his
country was facing "one of its most dangerous phases", adding
that one million people had been displaced.
Lebanon said a building in a Palestinian
refugee camp near Sidon was hit in the continuing air strikes.
Meanwhile, BBC reports that there has been a report a short while
ago regarding a shooting incident in Tel Aviv.
There are multiple casualties, it said, quoting the
police spokesperson unit in the area.
The BBC said the initial suspicion of motive was
terror attack.
