Kenya Power has listed some areas across the country scheduled for power interruption on Thursday.
The utility firm announced that parts of 11 counties will experience power interruptions to allow system maintenance.
The power interruption will occur between 8am and 5pm in different areas.
Counties to be affected are Nairobi, Machakos, Kiambu, Murang’a, Mombasa, Marsabit, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Meru, Kakamega, and Vihiga.
Nairobi
Parts of Nairobi will face power interruptions from 9am to 5pm.
The areas are Murang'a Road, Gurunanak Hospital, Pangani Police, Juja Road, Radiant Hospital, North View Road, Strawberry, and adjacent customers.
At the same time, areas including part of Mbagathi Road, Akila Ests, Miller East, Civil Servant East, Hamayun, Akiba East, Muslim Academy, Kinder World, Airport View East, White Star Academy, Bible Society, part of Langata Road, AP Camp Mbagathi Road, Kwetu Hostels, Strathmore College and adjacent customers.
Machakos
Parts of Machakos will face power interruption from 9am to 5pm.
The areas are Makutano Mwala, Mwala, Kivandini, Mhiuni, Ghetoo, Wamunyu, Yathui, Ikalaasa, Tulila, Miondoni, Syokisinga, Katangi, Ikombe, Kenyaata, Seku University, and Kyua.
Kakamega
Areas in Kakamega will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
The areas are Igukhu Hospital, Makhokho, Khaega, and adjacent customers.
Vihiga
Areas in Vihiga will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
They are Shell Petrol Luanda, Maseno Police, Sunrise, Maseno Ekwanda, Maseno Sunga, Holo, Magwar, Em-aloba, Khiliba, Maseno Depo and Bishop Olang.
Nyeri
Some areas in Nyeri are scheduled to face power interruptions from 8am to 5pm.
They are Muruguru Kwa Kigera, Vet Pro Factory, Kiamuiru Primary and Catholic, Mugwathi Hotel, Satima Millers, Royal Petrol Station, Githiru Market, Githiru, and C/Fact.
Meru
Parts of Meru to face power interruption from 8.30am to 5pm are Mucuune, Maliolo, St. Stephen Prinary School, St. Benedict Primary School, Kiguchwa Primary and Secondary School, Kiguchwa S/Cen-tre, Kiguchwa Safaricom, KK Mwethe Primary School, Kaliene Secondary School, Ametho Boarding, St. Lucy Kirigwa, Ankamia Mixed Day Secondary, Ankamia Primary, Ngutu S/Centre, Miurine Secondary School, Karurune Village, Gachuuru Market, Githu Market, Githu Mixed Secondary School, Kiarau, Irindiro Secondary School, Kieni IBC, Amungaa, Murichia C/Fact and adjacent customers.
At the same time areas including Safaricom Kiirua, Sera Park Hotel, Mboroga, Meru Central Kiirua, Kibithe Market, Mborione, Mutungi Market, Gakando Secondary, Gakando Village, Machaka Slums, Ntugi Market, Ntugi Secondary, Karanene Primary, Kirima Kia Itunga Market will face power interruption.

Tharaka Nithi
Parts of Tharaka Nithi will face power interruption from 8.30am to 5pm.
The areas are Karamani, Kanyuru Secondary, Cheera Market, Ikawa Primary, Kwa Mate Stage, Ithima Village, Nthima C/Fact, Salama Boarding, and adjacent customers.
Marsabit
Parts of Marsabit are set for power cuts from 8am to 3pm.
The areas are Moyale Town, Moyale Hosp, Somary Dispensary, Moyale Prisons, Moyale Boys, Odda Dispensary, Kinisa Mosque and adjacent customers.
Murang’a
Areas in Murang’a are set for power cuts from 8.30am to 5pm.
The areas are Githingiri East, Golf View East, Thika Greens, Jowaki Farm, Thika Green Golf Club, Thika Golf Culb, KARLO, Mugumo Farm, Brush Industries, Kandara Business Park, Rwathe Village, Kibage Secondary, Mukuria Village, Gacharage Market, Ruona Village, Muruka Village, Naaro Secondary, Muruka Secondary, Kaburugi, Bendor Farm, Branan Flowers, Kirwara Market, Kihumbuini Market, Nyaga Market, Gatunyu Market, Kiunyu Market, Ngararia Market Kandara Town, Muruka Market and adjacent customers.

Areas in Kiambu will face power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

Mombasa
Areas in Mombasa are set to face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
They are Fast African Storage, Gulf stream, Vivo Energy and adjacent customers.
