Kenya Power technicians at work/FILESix counties will experience scheduled power interruptions on Thursday, Kenya Power has announced.
The scheduled interruption is to allow for system maintenance.
Power will be switched off temporarily in areas to be affected between 8am and 5pm.
The counties are Nairobi, Kiambu, Samburu, Kajiado, Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet.
In Nairobi, parts of South C will experience interruptions from 9 am to 5pm.
They include Kongoni Primary School, Gikanjo Road, Muhoho Ave, Nairobi South Hospital, Khalsa School, CID Training School, Kaisungura Road, Razana Hotel, Mow Sports Club and adjacent customers.
Parts of Kibera will also be without power.
The areas include Rose Avenue, Kindaruma, George Padmore, Marcus Carvey, Carrefour, Chinese Centre, Tigoni Road, Kamburu Lane, Argwings Kodhek Road, Chaka Road, Marcus Garvey, Timau, Chaka Mall, All of George Padmore, French School and Circle Mail.
Others are Kilimani Mall, Kabarnet Road, Rose of Sharon, NCK, Equity Bank Kilimani, Upperhill, Kabarnet Gardens, Nine Planet, Sudan Embassy, Kibera Police Station, Kwa DC, Kibera Law Court, Huduma Centre, Kichinjio, Makongeni, Mashimoni, Part of Kisumu Ndogo, Gatwekera, Lindi and adjacent customers.
Nairobi Primary School, University of Nairobi hostels, Mamlaka Chapel, Stella Awinja Hostels, Shelter Afrique, Serena Hotel, YWCA Hostels, Part of Nyerere Raodd, Dorobo Road and adjacent customers will also be affected.
In Kajiado, the whole of Kerarapod, Jogoo Road, Hekima and NMasai School will be affected.
In Samburu, Posta, Mugie Ranch, Churo, Tangulbe, Suguta Marmar, Kisima, Maralal Towship, Maratal Water Supply, Poro Radar Street, Loosuk and adjacent customers will be without power.
Sokonik, Kabururet and adjacent customers in Nandi county will experience interruptions while in Elgeyo Marakwet Sego, Emoea and adjacent customers will be affected.
In Kiambu, affected areas include Gatong'ora Kwa Chief, Part of Sunrise Est, Fairview, Ebenezer, Keywest, Bypass Kwa Malory, Quickmart 1&2, Naivas Supermarket, Galana Petrol, Shell Bypass, Bypass Corner, Part of Northland, Green Valley Est, SiliconValley, Wisdom Towers and adjacent customers.
Also to be affected are Kawaida Dam 10, Gatatha Farmers, Black Petals, Taka Taka Solutions, Kimorori, Gatono Village, Nazareth Hospital, Kawamwaki Farm & adjacent customers and St. Mulumba Hospital, Kevian Industries, Chania Feeds, Capwell Industries, Gretsa University, Kiandutu Police Station, KVM, Phase 13, Benmade Industries and adjacent customers.
