A 35-year-old woman is on the run after fatally stabbing her husband in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
Police said the incident occurred on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in the Kihunguro area.
The victim, identified as George Murage, was found fighting for his life in his sitting room following a domestic altercation with his wife, who is now at large.
According to police reports, the couple had engaged in a heated argument before the woman allegedly picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Murage in the abdomen.
Neighbours said they heard screams from the house and rushed to check, only to find the woman standing near her husband, who was gasping for air and bleeding profusely. A kitchen knife with blood stains, believed to be the murder weapon, was found on a table in the house.
The neighbours rushed towards Kihunguro Police Station, but before they arrived, the suspect disappeared, police said.
Murage was later pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. The blood-stained kitchen knife was recovered at the scene.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect and appealed to her to surrender for questioning. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.

The suspect was arrested and detained pending arraignment for murder, while the body was moved to the mortuary for a postmortem. Police said the woman has since taken over the house.
