The close
relationship between a high-ranking government official and a former diplomat
is raising eyebrows among some observers. Twice, the two have been spotted
publicly during high-level government functions, and their camaraderie is quite
evident. While there is nothing wrong for the two to be close friends, it is
the intentions or the incentive that is suspect. Observes fear that the
ex-diplomat motivation to be close to the state official is supposedly
connected to their position in government.
By the nature of the job the top official has, they have access to
sensitive and highly confidential information.

One of the
high-ranking figures in the opposition ranks has allegedly snubbed colleagues
in the camp in several meetings, seemingly sending signals that all is not well
in the outfit. While the politico has for months been among the luminaries in
the opposition movement, their absence from some critical meetings, is
allegedly being linked to another plot to form yet another outfit in the
opposition, a move that will heavily weaken the United Opposition. Corridors
has learnt that recent comments by a senior principal in the camp did not go
down well with the politico, who supposedly often doesn't have much patience
when it comes to certain principles.

We recently told you
of a vocal former MP who had been on the frontline to defend a former top
national politician but has suddenly gone mute. After months of defending and
praising the politico across social media, radio and local TV studios, the
ex-legislator suddenly went missing from the inner circle of the politician.
Corridors can now confirm the contention is seemingly over the governor ticket
that the politico has declared interest in, but is allegedly facing competition
from another wealthy politician from the region. Faced with this challenge, the
former legislator has purportedly threatened to even resign from the party
position she was recently given and move to the rival party in the region.

The so-called
“Affordable Bloggers” have earned a reputation for their effectiveness in
political smear campaigns—and for being valuable assets to any campaign
machinery. The unfortunate reality, however, is that their loyalty allegedly lies not with ideology or candidates, but with
whoever pays. Corridors now understands that a prominent blogger has supposedly
abruptly shifted his tone after being invited to a discreet meeting, where a
generous envelope allegedly changed hands and a deal was struck for him to
switch camps.
