

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Friday attended an Economic Empowerment Forum for Women Groups SACCOs in Kipkeikei, Cherangany Constituency, Trans Nzoia County.
The DP has been attending a series of empowerment forums, which he said are meant to boost small business owners across the country.
On July 2, Kindiki spearheaded an empowerment programme in Garsen, Tana River County, where he emphasised the quest to share national resources equally.
He said the government is rolling out massive development projects in the coastal region to improve the economic status of the region that has suffered under-development for decades.
He added that the government has prioritized implementation of key infrastructure projects across the region to uplift the standards of citizens and open up the region to economic take off.
At Trans Nzoia, Kindiki was accompanied by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Presidential Aid Farouk Kibet among other leaders.
