EldoHub, an innovation and technology hub based in Eldoret, has bagged four major awards at the AfriLabs Annual Awards 2025, cementing its position as one of Africa’s most impactful digital innovation ecosystems.

The awards were presented during the AfriLabs Annual Gathering held at the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON) under the theme “Africa’s Innovation Future: Policy, Partnerships & Progress.”

The event brought together Africa’s top innovators, policymakers, investors, and ecosystem builders to celebrate the continent’s progress in digital transformation.

EldoHub emerged a multiple winner in four prestigious categories, Regional Hub of the Year (Eastern Africa), Most Collaborative Hub, Excellence in Gender Inclusion, and Community Engagement Champion.

The AfriLabs Awards recognize innovation hubs and enablers that champion inclusion, collaboration, and technological advancement across the continent. Winners were determined through ecosystem and public voting, followed by a jury evaluation based on measurable impact, partnerships, and contributions to Africa’s innovation ecosystem.

Reacting to the recognition, EldoHub Founder and CEO Magdaline Chepkemoi said the awards represent a collective triumph for Kenya’s young innovators and entrepreneurs.

“This recognition is not just a victory for EldoHub, it’s a triumph for every young innovator, woman, and entrepreneur who has walked through our doors,” Chepkemoi said.

“It affirms that purposeful collaboration, investment in people, and championing inclusion can transform communities and shape Africa’s digital future.”

Chepkemoi noted that the accolades reaffirm EldoHub’s commitment to nurturing inclusive innovation ecosystems that empower youth and women through digital skills, entrepreneurship training, and access to investment and markets.

Since its establishment in 2016, EldoHub has trained more than 25,000 youth and women across Kenya and East Africa through initiatives such as Tech Academy, SasaKazi platform, Miliki Accelerator, and TechLab Mashinani, programs designed to bridge the digital skills gap and support entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.

“We share this achievement with our partners, supporters, and the broader innovation community. Together, we demonstrate that transformative change is achievable when communities, governments, and innovators collaborate,” Chepkemoi added.

The multiple wins highlight EldoHub’s leadership in promoting digital transformation, gender inclusion, and regional collaboration, values that continue to drive its mission to empower communities through technology and innovation.
