A major discussion on education in a post-artificial intelligence (AI) era is set to take place in Nakuru on October 17, 2025.
The discussion will be the key theme during a conference bringing together AI experts from Kenya, the UK, and the US, alongside education stakeholders and government policymakers.
Themed “The First National Conference on AI & Future of TVETs,” participants will delve into the role of AI in education and explore what the future of learning institutions looks like in the post-AI era.
The event will be officiated by Dr. Esther Muoria, Permanent Secretary, State Department of TVETs.
Principals from TVET institutions and secondary schools will also take part, gaining exposure to the world of AI and its implications on training within the CBC and CBET curriculums.

“AI is here with us and will revolutionise everything. As education stakeholders, we must align our training to ensure an AI-ready workforce,” Kimemia said.
The event, hosted by RVIBS, will take place at St. Mary’s Pastoral and Conference Centre in Nakuru.
The conference comes at a time when debate on the role of AI in education, parenting, and careers is intensifying.
Globally, there is ongoing discussion on whether AI will replace human roles in certain careers or open up new opportunities.
