Kibera Black Stars intensify FKF Premier League promotion push

Kibera Black Stars continue their FKF Premier League promotion campaign when they face unpredictable Migori Youth at Migori Stadium.

Kibera Black Stars go into the game buoyed by last weekend’s 1-0 win over log leaders Nairobi United, while on the other hand, Migori Youth suffered a 2-1 loss against 3K FC at Moi Stadium in Embu. Kibera Black Stars, coached by Edwin Lavatsa, sit fourth on the National Super League log with 47 points.

Elsewhere, promotion-chasing Naivas entertain Paul Ogai’s Darajani Gogo at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Naivas are third on the log with 49 points. Nairobi United lead the log with 52 points and APS Bomet are second with 52 points. 

Nzoia Sugar will be at home against 3K FC at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County as Mombasa Stars host Kisumu All Stars.

Kisumu All Stars are in danger of missing the encounter due to financial difficulties and have appealed to well-wishers to help them honour the fixture.

Despite financial challenges, they are seventh on the table with 43 points. In other games scheduled for Saturday, Fortune Sacco welcome Mully Children’s Family (MCF) at Kianyaga Stadium. 

On Sunday, the Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet hope to close the gap on log leaders Nairobi United when they host Vihiga United at Bomet Stadium. Nairobi United will not be in action this weekend.

Naibos, as the club is popularly known, will return to action on Wednesday when they host Luanda Villa at Dandora Stadium in Nairobi in a rescheduled match.

The Michael Olunga Foundation Academy (MOFA) host Samwest Blackboots at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Samwest Blackboots coach Andrew Ongwae said his charges will seek to return to winning ways after last week’s 2-1 loss against APS Bomet. At Serani Sports Complex, Mombasa United will be up against Luanda Villa.
