Siaya Governor James Orengo on Thursday joined Embakasi East MP Babu Owino at the Kajiado Law Courts in solidarity with activist Bob Njagi, who is facing criminal charges.
Orengo, who was accompanied by some activists, condemned the case against Njagi, describing it as politically motivated and an attack on democratic freedoms.

"No Kenyan should face trumped-up charges for exercising their democratic rights. Bob Njagi's arrest is a political injustice to the entire nation," Orengo said.
The governor said he would remain at the court until the matter is concluded, adding: "Currently at Kajiado Law Courts alongside Hon. Babu Owino until justice is served. Stay brave, Comrade Bob Njagi."
