Kenya Power has listed areas to experience power interruptions on Tuesday, May 5, 2025.
The utility firm said areas in six counties will face power cuts at diverse times between 8 am and 5 pm.
The counties to be affected are Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, and Homa Bay.
KPLC said the power interruption helps to facilitate system maintenance.
Nairobi
Parts of Nairobi will face power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm.
They are the University of Nairobi, Kaumoni, Loresho Primary and Secondary, Shamba Café and adjacent customers.
Parts of Nairobi West to face power cuts are Paa Crescent, ICC Church, Muthaiti Avenue, Nyayo Stadium, Nairobi West S/Center, Part of Nairobi West, Niamey Road, Ghandhi Avenue, Kodi Road, Summerdale Hotel, Swara Crescent, Kifaru Crescent, Msufu Road, Part of Muhoho Avenue, Sumba Road, Rio Hotel, Kisauni Road, Nairobi West Hospital, Madaraka Roundabout and adjacent customers.
At the same time, areas including parts of Langata Road, Galleria Mall, Muiri Lane, Muiri Close, MC Frys, Ola Petrol Station, Bogani East, CUEA and Part of Magadi Road will face power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm.
Nakuru
Parts of Nakuru will face power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm.
They include Nkoilale Market, Sekenani Market, hotels along Sekenani Talek, Talek Market and adjacent customers.
Areas in the Mt Kenya region to experience power interruption from 8 am to 5 pm include Maria Njoki, Karogo Primary, Karumiri Primary School, Karurumo Catholic, Matururi Primary School and adjacent customers.
Mombasa
Areas in Mombasa will experience power disruption from 9 am to 5 pm.
They are Pentagon, Rima, Tenant Purchase, Shika Adabu, Kibaki East, Bububu, Shonda Maweni, Ujamaa, Checkpoint, Inspiration, Slaughterhouse, Jara, Mwanaguvuze, Kona Mpya, Kona Mbaya and adjacent customers.
Kilifi
Parts of Kilifi will face power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm.
They include Baharini Primary, Baran Kenya Kikamabala, Kadzengo, Kitchen King, My Pasta, Pwani Oil Ltd, Mega Courture, Afriware EPZ, Ndune Fish Farm, Revital EPZ, Tiger Packaging, Vipingo Industries, Vipingo Service Station, Majlis Msumarini, Safepak Limited, Pride Industries, Total Amkeni, Madina Madrassa Center, Jallaram Plastics, Eagol Petrol Station, Awali East, Palmridge, Vipingo Golf Stage, Swafaa Academy, Shariani Center, Shariani kwa Pope, Flamboyant Limited and adjacent customers.
Kwale
Areas in Kwale to face power cuts from 9 am to 12 pm.
They are Mabokoni, Mbuwani, Mwanjamba, the Technical University of Mombasa, Mwapala and adjacent customers.
Parts of the North Rift region to face power interruption from 9 am to 5 pm are Chebarbar and adjacent customers.
Homa Bay
Parts of Homa Bay will experience power interruption from 9 am to 5 pm.
They are Koduogo Market, Kodiera Market, Ogongo Market, Koyani, Waondo, Luanda, Mbita, Rusinga and adjacent customers.
