Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen on Friday visited the Embu Regional Immigration office as he embarked on his Jukwaa la Usalama tour of Embu county.
Murkomen chaired a county security briefing meeting at the Embu Regional Commissioner’s office as part of the Usalama initiative.
The CS commended the good working relationship between the community, the National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs) and the National Police Service (NPS) in detecting and thwarting planned attacks.

Murkomen noted that the issue of counter-terrorism is sensitive and called for patriotism in handling the matter, saying the work of officers in keeping the country safe should be commended.
During his visit to the Immigration Office, the CS assesed how Kenyans were being served and expressed satisfaction with the seamless operation.
"The applicants I interacted with expressed satisfaction with the efficiency and customer service at the office," he said.
"Just like in our headquarters, applicants can collect their travel documents in three days in this regional centre," he added.
