Kenya Power staff at work./FILEKenya Power has listed areas across six counties where scheduled electricity interruption will be effected on Friday, May 23, 2025.
In a public notice Thursday evening, the utility firm said the counties to be affected are within Nairobi, Central Rift, North Rift, Nyanza, Mt Kenya and Coast regions.
The planned power interruptions are part of routine network maintenance.
Nairobi county
Area: Isaac Gathanju Road.
Time: 9am - 5pm
Areas to be affected are Naurid Merali Road, part of Maji Mazuri, Tiles & Carpet Centre, part of James Gichuru, Lavington Curve, Jeffery Club and adjacent customers.
Nakuru county
Area: Parts of Rongai town
Time: 9am - 4pm
Areas to be affected: Kandutura, Waka Center, Kware, Thirandu, Kapwen, Rongai Pri, Arasa Center, BP Flora, Kimangu and adjacent customers.
Uasin Gishu county
Location: Cheptiret, Bayete, Lorian
Time: 8am - 5pm
Areas: Cheptiret, Kapkoiga, Kerita, Lorian, Kapkoi, Kiptanui Farm, Koiluget, Rurigi, Kaptumo and adjacent customers.
Location: Moiben Centre, Kabomoi
