Dr. Macharia is scheduled to appear before the assembly’s committee for vetting on Friday, June 27.

The nomination was a notice signed by Annie Macharia, Acting Clerk of the County Assembly.

Her nomination falls under the County Governments Act and the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, which require public vetting before formal appointments.

Four other nominees are lined up to serve alongside her on the board are Dr. Louis Mwende Musikali (Member), Johnson Kang’ethe Kinyua (Member), Dr. Brian Lishenga Makamu,  (Member) and Oscar Kimani Gathura (Secretary)

If approved, Dr. Macharia will lead the board responsible for overseeing county human resource matters, including hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

All nominees have been instructed to present original documents during the vetting, including academic certificates, clearance from KRA, HELB, EACC, police, and CRB, and a valid ID or passport.

The vetting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Murang’a County Assembly chambers.
