A 29-year-old man was stabbed and killed in an argument over a woman he had met outside a supermarket in Keroka Town.
The guard was attacked and stabbed by another man claiming to be the boyfriend of the woman.
According to police, the deceased, who was a guard at a local school, was on his way to work on Wednesday when he met a woman outside a supermarket and engaged her in a
conversation.
It was then that another man emerged and claimed to be the boyfriend of the woman, prompting an argument
that went bad.
This is after the
assailant drew a knife and stabbed the guard in the chest, seriously injuring
him.
He was rushed to the
hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said the
deceased man had a deep cut on the right side of the chest and that the body
was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
The assailant and
the woman were arrested to help with investigations, police said.
Elsewhere in
Mbumbuni, Makueni County, a man died after being hit in the head in a fight
with his cousin.
Police said Juliuls
Kithome had an argument with his cousin, who hit him in the head with a wooden stick, fatally injuring him on July 2.
The said assailant
was later arrested pending investigations, as the body was moved to the
mortuary.
Meanwhile, an Ethiopian
national was electrocuted in a quarry where he was working in Bute, Wajir
County.

Witnesses said he touched a
live wire that was supplying power from a generator to a stone driller, killing
him on Thursday.
Police and witnesses said he
died on the spot before the body was moved to the mortuary pending
investigations.
Police visited the scene as part of the probe into the tragedy.
The quarries in the area attract many people for a living, amid calls for stricter regulations.
