Legendary saxophonist Kenny G electrified the crowd at his long-awaited One Night Only Concert by delivering an unexpected and touching moment by greeting fans in Kiswahili.

The concert was held at the KICC on September 27 after the jazz icon landed in Nairobi on September 25. A wave of excitement filled KICC as fans from across Kenya and neighboring countries gathered.

Kenny G Leaves Nairobi Breathless With Astounding Performance
The performance included solos across instruments saxophone, piano, guitar, drums accompanied by a full band. Midway through his set, Kenny G paused to address the audience in Swahili a surprise that delighted many.

"Niaje, poleni Kiswahili yangu sio poa sana lakini nitajaribu. Hii ni mara yangu ya kwanza Kanairo, nimefurahi. Asanteni kwa kuja. Jibambe na ngoma yangu sentimental," he said.

After Nairobi, the saxophonist will head to Uganda for his first-ever performance there at Mestil Gardens in Kampala on Sunday night.

“We promise we are gonna give you the best show you have ever seen. We have beautiful melodies for you, exciting musicians. It will be a wonderful show,” he assured his Ugandan fans.
