Sources say the official supposedly instructed the sleuths to gather evidence that could implicate the legislator, including information that might justify an arrest. The team is claimed to be focused on linking the MP to a recent alleged extortion racket that rocked Parliament. The lawmaker has apparently been a persistent thorn in the official’s side since he assumed the powerful office.
