
The mobile broadband market in Kenya is dominated by Safaricom PLC, which holds a commanding 63.1 per cent share, according to the Communication Authority of Kenya's report for July to September 2024.
Airtel Networks Kenya Ltd. follows with 32.6 per cent, while other players, including Telkom Kenya Ltd. (1.7%), Jamii Telecommunications Ltd. (1.6 per cent), and Finserve (Equitel) Ltd. (1.0 per cent), hold smaller portions of the market.
Broadband refers to a high-speed internet connection that is faster and more reliable than traditional dial-up access.
