President William Ruto reassigned six Principal Secretaries to new State Departments in a move aimed at enhancing government efficiency.

The changes, announced on March 20, 2025, saw Julius Bitok move from Immigration & Citizen Services to Basic Education, while Belio Kipsang transitioned to Immigration & Citizen Services from Basic Education.

Harry Kimtai was shifted from Medical Services to the Mining department.

Teresiah Mbaika moved from Devolution to Aviation and Aerospace Development.

Ismael Madey, formerly at Youth Affairs, now heads Special Programmes, and Elijah Mwangi transitioned from Mining to Sports.
