    The agricultural sector in Kenya is severely impacted by counterfeit goods, as highlighted by the Anti-Counterfeit Authority Consumer-Level Survey Report 2025.

    Pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides are overwhelmingly the most counterfeited products, representing 89.16% of reported cases.

    Fertilizers and soil conditioners also face a significant problem, accounting for 54.29% of counterfeits.

    Animal feeds, medication, and supplements are affected at 34.09%, while Seeds stand at 45.6%.

    Agricultural equipment and machinery represent 13.66% of fakes, and a small portion (0.23%) falls under "Others."

    This widespread counterfeiting jeopardizes agricultural productivity and farmer livelihoods.
