President Wiliam Ruto has instituted changes within the ranks of Principal Secretaries and sanctioned postings to the nation’s foreign service.

In a statement to newsrooms on Thursday, State House said the changes are driven by the need to harness opportunities within the emerging sectors of the economy.

"Collectively, the changes  seek to further accelerate the implementation of the administration's Seminal Social Economic Blueprint and the Bottom Up Transformation agenda," the statement reads.

Among other changes made, the president has also appointed new entrants into his government and has nominated former Health CS Susan Nakhumicha as Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Kenya to the UN-Habitat.

Nominees

Dr Jane Kare Imbunya nominated Principal Secretary State Department for Public Service & Human Capital Development Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital.

Ms. Regina Akoth Ombam nominated PS State Department for Trade Ministry of Investments, Trade & Industry.

 Mr. Cyrell Wagunda Odede nominated PS State Department for Public Investments & Assets Management The National Treasury & Economic Planning.

Dr. Caroline Wanjiru Karugu, nominated PS State Department for East African Community (EAC) Affairs Ministry of East African Community (EAC) Affairs & The ASALs & Regional Development.

Dr. Oluga Fredrick Ouma, nominated PS State Department for Medical Services Ministry of Health.

Mr. Ahmed Abdisalan Ibrahim, nominated PS State Department for National Government Co-ordination Office of the Prime Cabinet-Secretary.

Ms. Judith Naiyai Pareno, nominated PS Justice, Human Rights & Constitutional Affairs, Office of the Attorney General & State Department for Justice.

Dr. Bonface Makokha, nominated PS State Department for Economic Planning The National Treasury & Economic Planning.

CPA Carren Ageng'o Achieng, nominated  PS State Department for Children Welfare Services Ministry of Labour & Social Protection.

RESHUFFLE

The president has promoted Mr. Amos Gathe from Principal Secretary Public Service to Deputy Head of the Public Service Executive Office of the President.

Former ICT PS Prof. Edward Kisiang'ani has now been appointed Senior Adviser and Member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers.

Prof. Julius Bitok from  PS State Department for Immigration & Citizen Services Ministry of Interior & National Administration to State Department for Basic Education Ministry of Education.

Ms. Teresiah Mbaika from PS State Department of Devolution to State Department for Aviation & Aerospace Development Ministry of Roads & Transport.

Mr. Ismael Madey from PS State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy to State Department for Special Programmes Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development & Special Programmes.

Mr. Harry Kimtai PS State Department for Medical Services, to State Department for Mining Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy & Maritime Affairs.

Former Sports PS Peter Tum nominated Ambassador, Kinshasa Democratic Republic of Congo.

Mr. Alfred Ombudo K'Ombundo  nominated Deputy Head of Mission Brussels, Belgium.
