Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has opened up about how she manages co-parenting with her ex-husband, musician Brown Mauzo.
Through her Instagram stories, Sidika shared a surveillance video dated September 6, 2025, showing her children running towards Mauzo.
"My kids always have a parent at home. Whenever I need to be at my apartment while hosting, I always ask their dad to spend the entire time with them," she captioned the video.
"And when I travel anywhere in the world, he stays with them – along with the nannies – from the moment I leave until I return," she added.
Sidika described her children’s bond with their father as “unbreakable.”
The post received mixed reactions from her followers. While some praised her approach, others questioned why she allowed Mauzo to stay at her home with their children.
Responding to a fan who asked why she would let someone who does not provide financial support stay with her kids, Sidika wrote: "I have never needed anything from him financially. He's a great dad. I grew up with both parents and always wanted the same for my kids. Lack of financial support won’t make me deny their dad the right to see them."
Despite the criticism, Sidika shared screenshots of fans expressing admiration on her Instagram stories. Comments included: "You are a good mother," "This is what we call co-parenting," and "How did you choose your baby daddy? Help us."
Sidika also acknowledged Mauzo’s role as a father. Under a fan’s screenshot, she wrote: "The best dad ever." She further highlighted his commitment, noting the challenges he faced with his other child when he was unable to see them for two years.
