Kenya Aquatics Technical Committee Omar Omari is looking forward to a competitive two-day championship. "This is going to be a big event in terms of turnout and shows the growth of the sport in the country," said Omari.

"Teams have been training hard for the championship with several having training camps during the April holidays and I expect them to be sharp.“

"This is where Kenya’s swimming stars are born,” added Omari. “We’re not just hosting races; we’re shaping the future of our national team."

The competition lineup is set to be intense, featuring all four classic strokes; freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly across multiple distances and relays.

With strict qualifying times in place, every race promises to showcase Kenya’s best young talent. The event, Omari added, presents a scouting opportunity for national team selectors and partner organisations.
