The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has signed a service legal agreement with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).
The newly signed agreement will be a game-changer for the
company, as it will help them save on the costs they previously incurred.
The company's MD, Joe Sang noted that the two will work together in testing all petroleum products.

“The team from KEBs
has demonstrated the confidence that they have in KPC through this agreement,” Sang
said
KEBS is set to invest in the company's testing facilities.
The KEBS Managing Director, Esther Ngari, stated that the plan focuses on transitioning from Pre-Export Verification of Conformity(PVoC) to destination inspection.

“We will need to have capacity building in the country on testing of all the products that get into the country,” she said.
“We are appreciative that KPC has put in place all the accredited laboratory requirements, and we will depend on them for testing petroleum products,” she added.
