Football fans in Kenya are set for an electrifying week as tickets for the
eagerly awaited CHAN 2024 quarterfinal clash between Kenya and Madagascar
officially go on sale today.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF)
announced that sales would open at exactly noon on Tuesday.
This will give supporters across the country the chance to secure their seats
for the high-stakes match scheduled for Friday at Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.
Fans will, however, have to dig slightly deeper
into their pockets.
The price of a regular ticket has
been increased by Sh50, meaning spectators will now pay Sh250, up from the
earlier Sh200.
Despite the increment, demand is projected to be extremely high as
excitement builds ahead of one of the tournament’s most anticipated fixtures.
“Mark your calendar! Sales start on August 19,
2025, at 12pm,” CAF announced through its official website.
The Kenya–Madagascar showdown comes at a
crucial stage of the continental tournament.
Kenya, buoyed by recent strong performances, is determined to reach the
semifinals for the first time in its CHAN history.
Madagascar, on the other hand, has earned a reputation as a resilient side
and is expected to put up a spirited fight, making the encounter one of the
toughest tests yet for the Harambee Stars.
National broadcasters, who have been running
live coverage of the competition, have urged fans to purchase their tickets
early to avoid missing out.
With Kenya’s recent resurgence on the continental stage, analysts predict
that Kasarani will likely be filled to capacity, echoing with chants and cheers
from patriotic supporters.
CHAN 2024 has already delivered thrilling
matches, and Friday’s quarterfinal is being billed as one of the highlights of
the competition.
Both teams will enter the pitch with everything at stake, a coveted spot in
the semifinals and a chance to edge closer to continental glory.
As the countdown begins, all eyes are on
Kasarani, where thousands of fans are expected to paint the stadium in national
colors, hoping to witness yet another memorable chapter in Kenya’s football
journey.
