The government has stepped up efforts to accelerate socio-economic transformation in North Eastern Kenya, with Deputy President Kithure Kindiki leading an economic empowerment campaign in Tarbaj, Wajir county, on Sunday.

The empowerment drive was to support micro and small-scale traders in Tarbaj Constituency.

Kindiki said the Kenya Kwanza administration is prioritising key infrastructure projects such as road construction, modern markets, and electricity connectivity.

These initiatives, he noted, are designed to spur grassroots entrepreneurship and improve the quality of life for residents across the region.

The DP was accompanied by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Majority Leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichungwah, Governor Ahmed Abdullahi and other national and local leaders.
