Man dies after being slapped during an altercation in Temoyetta, Nakuru

Police are investigating an incident in which a man collapsed and died after being slapped in an altercation in Temoyetta area in Nakuru county.

Police said a group was attending a circumcision session when an altercation broke out, leaving a man identified as Ken Ngure, 33, dead after being slapped.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival following the Saturday evening incident.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

Police are looking for the suspect in the saga who escaped the scene.

In a different incident, a 25-year-old woman was found dead after a suspected murder incident in Ndori area, Siaya County.

Police are also investigating to establish if the woman was sexually abused in Saturday, December 6 incident.

Her body was found in a house in a supine position, and there were signs of struggle.

A suspect was arrested over the murder, police said. Police said they want to know if he acted alone and if there were more players in the incident.

A kitchen knife and her clothes were found in the house. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

Police say murder incidents have been on the rise in the area amid efforts to solve them. Most of the incidents are linked to love triangles and land disputes, investigations show.

Some of the incidents are pending in court so far.

Elsewhere in Melelo, Narok County, a 55-year-old man was hacked to death in his house in an attack.

Police identified him as Wilson Langat. He was attacked by the sons of a woman he was with in a house. The motive of the attack was not known, police said.

The two sons were arrested for investigations into claims of murder. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

Elsewhere in Mathare slums, Nairobi, one Henry Atanga, 45, was found unconscious on the roadside.

He was rushed to the hospital where he died while being attended to in the Sunday morning incident, police said.

The cause of the death was not immediately known. Police said there were white substances oozing from his mouth then.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

And police in Muhuru Bay, Migori county are investigating murder after a human skull was found in a forest in the area.

The recovery was made in Ngore village. The remains were taken to the mortuary pending other procedures.
