State agencies have advertised several vacancies, inviting qualified and experienced candidates to apply for positions in management, technical, finance, legal and communications departments.
In their advertisements published in MyGov on Tuesday, the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) and the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) stated that they are seeking to fill a number of positions as part of their latest recruitment drives.
GDC announced 14 vacancies across various departments as it seeks to strengthen its workforce.
The company is seeking to recruit a General Manager for Geothermal Resource Development, a Manager for Geothermal Resource Management, a Manager for Drilling Operations, a Manager for Infrastructure Development and a Manager for Project Management.
Other advertised positions include Manager for the Geothermal Resource Centre, Manager for Treasury and Investment, Manager for Quality Management Systems and Risk Management Coordination and Manager for Corporate Communications.
The company is also seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager for Management Accounting and an Assistant Manager for Treasury and Investment.
In addition, GDC has advertised vacancies for Principal Legal Services Officer, Principal Insurance Officer and Principal Geoscientist (Geophysicist) under the Geothermal Resource Assessment department.
The company directed interested candidates to its careers page and online recruitment portal for detailed job profiles and application instructions.
Applications are required to be submitted through the online application link and must be received by 5 pm on July 21, 2026.
“Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted,” the company stated in the advertisement.
The agency also encouraged applications from women, youth, persons with disabilities and members of marginalised communities.
“GDC is an equal opportunity employer. Marginalized, Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities are encouraged to apply,” the notice stated.
The company further cautioned applicants against paying money during the recruitment process.
“GDC does not charge any cost to process your application,” the advertisement stated.
Successful candidates will be required to present a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, a Higher Education Loans Board clearance certificate, a Kenya Revenue Authority tax compliance certificate, clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and a clearance certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau in line with Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Meanwhile, NEMA has advertised the position of Corporation Secretary and Director of Legal Services.
The authority said the successful candidate will serve on a three-year renewable contract.
Interested applicants have been directed to submit applications through NEMA’s online recruitment portal and attach copies of academic certificates, transcripts, testimonials and a detailed curriculum vitae indicating current remuneration, current position or grade, expected salary and daytime telephone contacts.
Applicants are also required to download, complete and submit the Bio-data Job Application Form available on the authority’s website.
In addition to online applications, NEMA said hard copy applications may be hand delivered or posted to the Director General in a sealed envelope clearly indicating the reference number of the position applied for.
All applications must be received by 5 pm on July 21, 2026.
The authority reminded applicants that successful candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution by providing relevant clearance certificates.
NEMA also encouraged applications from women, persons living with disabilities, minorities and marginalised groups.
“NEMA is an equal opportunity employer. Female candidates, Persons living with disabilities, the marginalized and the minorities are encouraged to apply,” the authority said.
The agency warned candidates against attempting to influence the recruitment process.
“Any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification,” the notice stated.
NEMA further noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
