WHISPERS ARE REPORTEDLY swirling
around Parliament over an alleged illicit
affair between two legislators whose
chemistry has become hard to ignore.
The two, drawn from opposite sides of
the political divide, have reportedly grown
unusually close – attending events together, and have been spotted in discreet
locations. What began as political camara- derie has now sparked speculation among
colleagues and parliamentary staff. The
two have dismissed the rumours but in
the corridors of power, the whispers are
only getting louder.

STAFF AT A major state corporation
are said to be walking on eggshells
following the arrival of their new boss,
whose management style is reportedly
already ruffling feathers. Barely months
into the job, the new CEO has reportedly
dismissed long-serving managers and
openly questions their competence in
meetings. Insiders whisper that the boss
has a habit of lecturing senior managers
as if they are interns, often shooting down
ideas without discussion and pushing his
own agenda with little regard for internal
procedures.

CONTRACTORS IN A county in Mt
Kenya are up in arms after they were left
high and dry by the county government.
According to multiple sources close to
the procurement office, the governor
allegedly channelled millions of shillings
in pending bills to companies linked to his
inner circle — some said to be thinly veiled
proxy firms — while legitimate contractors
who had completed county projects were
snubbed entirely. Several of them, already
servicing bank loans, say they have been
pushed to the brink of auction.

WHO IS THIS senior officer using police
vehicles to deliver construction materials
to a site in the Mt Kenya region? According
to insiders, the officer – known for such
behaviour even when leading other units
– is believed to be motivated by greed. A
section of officers supposedly aware of
the saga are calling for investigations by
independent agencies and for the senior
officer to be held accountable, rather than
the drivers who were merely following
orders. Whether this investigation and
action will take place remains to be seen
