A slow, scrappy start to the first half.

Tensions start to boil over and Leandro Paredes receives a yellow card for shoving Rodri and also having a dig at Dani Olmo as the players swarm the referee.

Paredes started all of it. He is the one that shoved his elbow into the back. Just a little shove in there to Rodri.

The long half-time break means it feels like a delayed kick off for the players. And because they covered the pitch they weren't able to water it properly. The longer it goes on with the heat it is only going to get slower.

Argentina get up the other end at pace, and Unai Simon has come way out of his goal. That was almost a nightmare start for the Spain keeper, but he judges it right.
