Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoko and Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday led a series of rallies in the Ukambani region in a bid to consolidate the opposition unity.

The tour, dubbed the Whistle Stop, was scheduled to start from Sultan Hamud before proceeding to Emali, Makindu Town, Kibwezi, and Kinyambu-Kambu/Machinery.

The two leaders also made a stop at Malili where they addressed hun dreds of supporters who turned up to listen to them

"Asante Malili for your warm welcome to United Opposition supporters on this whistle-stop tour," Kalonzo said in a statement on X.

This is the first time, the opposition leaders are teaming up for a series of rallies despite holding several meetings as part of their reorganisation ahead of 2027.
