Narok Town Ward MCA-elect Douglas Masikonde


Douglas Twala Masikonde of DCP has been declared the winner of the Narok Town Ward by-election after securing 6,007 votes.

Masikonde defeated Robert Kanyinke Ole Kudate of UDA, who got 4,479 votes.

The by-election to fill the seat left vacant after the death of MCA Lukas Kudate in February became a critical battleground for political parties.

The ruling UDA party fronted Kanyinke Ole Kudate, the late MCA’s firstborn son, in a move that was seen as both sentimental and strategically unifying.
