Kenya's footwear imports have shown significant fluctuations over the past few years, measured in billions of Kenyan Shillings (Sh bn).
In 2019, imports stood at Sh 1319.7 billion, dipping to Sh 864.9 billion in 2020.
A notable surge occurred in 2021, with imports peaking at Sh 2143.3 billion.
Subsequently, there was a decrease to Sh 1643.2 billion in 2022 and a slight further reduction to Sh 1617.1 billion in 2023.
Imports remained relatively stable at Sh 1604.6 billion in 2024, before rising by 15.11 per cent to Sh 1847 billion in 2025.
This data highlights the dynamic nature of Kenya's footwear import market.
