Tottenham vs Everton

‎[Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday at 6pm]
The curtain comes down on Tottenham’s turbulent 2025/26 Premier League campaign with Spurs staring uncomfortably into the abyss.
Currently marooned in 17th place on 38 points, they are only two points above the relegation zone as they welcome mid-table Everton knowing survival is still hanging by a thread.
The equation is brutally simple — avoid defeat and they live to fight another Premier League season.
Find a win and they remove any lingering anxiety in emphatic fashion.
It has been a season of chaos, inconsistency and frayed nerves in north London, and Spurs arrive for this decisive showdown on the back of a painful 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Everton, meanwhile, travel south seeking to salvage some pride after stumbling through a disappointing end to their own campaign.
The Toffees are winless in six league outings, with their latest setback a bruising 3-1 defeat to Sunderland.
Meetings between these two sides have rarely lacked drama, goals and memorable moments.
The reverse fixture certainly followed that pattern, with Tottenham sweeping Everton aside in a commanding 3-0 victory.
But final-day football often follows its own script.
Spurs’ nerves, their patchy home form and the suffocating weight of relegation pressure could turn this into a tense and cagey affair.
Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Everton
West Ham United vs Leeds United
[London Stadium, Sunday at 6pm]
Another club fighting for Premier League survival, West Ham enter the final day with their backs firmly against the wall.
The Hammers sit 18th on 36 points and require nothing less than victory while also hoping Everton can do them a favour against Tottenham.
Goals have been painfully scarce for West Ham throughout a difficult campaign, with their lack of cutting edge in attack becoming one of the defining flaws of the season.
Confidence is also in short supply after three straight defeats, the latest a chastening 3-1 loss to Newcastle.
Leeds, by contrast, arrive in east London full of confidence and momentum.
The Yorkshire side are unbeaten in eight league matches and edged Brighton 1-0 in their previous outing, continuing a run that has quietly transformed them into one of the Premier League’s form teams in the closing weeks of the 2025/26 campaign.
History leans slightly in West Ham’s favour.
The Hammers have won five of the last 10 meetings between the clubs, while Leeds have claimed three victories, with two matches ending in draws.
However, the reverse fixture belonged to Leeds, who secured a 2-1 victory.
On paper, Leeds possess the stronger form and the more polished footballing identity.
But relegation battles are driven by desperation, adrenaline and sheer necessity — ingredients that may yet carry West Ham over the line.
Prediction: West Ham 2-1 Leeds United
APS Bomet vs AFC Leopards
[Kericho Green Stadium, Sunday at 3pm]
The SportPesa Premier League title race heads into its penultimate chapter with AFC Leopards facing a potentially defining afternoon in Kericho.
Ingwe remain firmly in contention, but the margins are razor-thin.
Sitting second on 64 points, they trail bitter rivals Gor Mahia by four points and can scarcely afford anything less than maximum points if they are to keep their title hopes alive heading into the final weekend.
Momentum, at least, is flowing through the Leopards camp.
Three consecutive victories, including a hard-fought 2-1 win over Kakamega Homeboyz, have strengthened belief and intensified the chase.
Yet this is far from a routine assignment.
APS Bomet have quietly established themselves as one of the league’s toughest opponents, putting together an impressive nine-match unbeaten run. Their latest outing on Wednesday ended in a 2-0 victory over Bandari.
Leopards will, however, take confidence from the reverse fixture, where they battled to a narrow 2-1 victory.
Expect a fiercely contested encounter shaped by title pressure on one side and stubborn resistance on the other.
But with the championship still within touching distance, Ingwe may just find the extra edge required.
Prediction: APS Bomet 1-2 AFC Leopards
