Two key state agencies have announced vacancies for senior positions, opening up fresh opportunities for qualified Kenyans seeking leadership roles in the public sector.
The Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA) has advertised the position of Chief Executive Officer on a three-year renewable contract.
The agency, which falls under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, said it is seeking a dynamic, visionary and suitably qualified individual to steer its operations.
In the vacancy notice, TWWDA invited interested candidates to submit a signed application letter, a detailed curriculum vitae and certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
Applications can be delivered by hand, sent by post in sealed envelopes or submitted via email.
"Applications must be received not later than Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 5 pm East African Time. TWWDA is an equal opportunity employer. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted," it said.
At the same time, the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has announced seven senior vacancies as it seeks to strengthen its regulatory and market development functions.
The positions advertised include Director of Research, Policy and Market Development; Deputy Director, Commodities; Assistant Director, Regulatory Framework; Assistant Director, Enforcement; Principal Corporate Communications Officer; Principal Market Development Officer (Research and Analytics); and Principal Internal Auditor.
CMA said applications must be submitted by July 8, 2026.
"Capital Markets Authority is an equal opportunity employer. Persons with Disabilities are encouraged to apply. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification."
It also warned that canvassing would lead to automatic disqualification and emphasised that no fees are charged at any stage of the recruitment process.
The vacancies come as government institutions seek to attract skilled professionals to enhance governance, service delivery and operational efficiency.
The TWWDA chief executive role is particularly significant given the agency's mandate of implementing water and sanitation infrastructure projects, while the CMA positions are expected to bolster oversight, enforcement and development of Kenya's capital markets.
The recruitment drives underscore efforts by public institutions to strengthen leadership and accountability through transparent and merit-based hiring processes.
